This year’s event will celebrate the Jefferson Avenue Streetscape Project – which will bring protected bike lanes and landscaped island to East Jefferson Avenue, Alter Road to Lakewood Street in Historic Jefferson-Chalmers. We are also very excited to announce Gil Penalosa, Founder and Chair of 8-80s Cities, as our keynote speaker. Penalosa is an urban planning expert who advises decision makers and communities on how to create vibrant cities and healthy communities, for everyone, regardless of age or social status. Penalosa’s leadership and advice is sought out by many cities and organizations, giving him the opportunity to work in more than 180 different cities across six continents.
