Buy Tickets or Sponsor JEI’s Annual Luncheon – Link Jefferson

Thursday, April 30, 2015

11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Stroh River Place Atrium (300 River Place, Detroit)

Please join us for “Link Jefferson- Connecting Detroit’s Riverfront Neighborhoods” Jefferson East, Inc’s annual luncheon. This year’s event will celebrate the Jefferson Avenue Streetscape Project – which will bring protected bike lanes and landscaped islands to East Jefferson Avenue, Alter Road to Lakewood Street in Historic Jefferson-Chalmers.

We are also very excited to announce Gil Penalosa, Founder and Chair of 8-80s Cities, as our keynote speaker. Penalosa is an urban planning expert who advises decision makers and communities on how to create vibrant cities and healthy communities, for everyone, regardless of age or social status. Penalosa’s leadership and advice is sought out by many cities and organizations, giving him the opportunity to work in more than 180 different cities across six continents.

We will also use this event to announce the upcoming (June of 2015) Detroit-based 8-80 Cities immersion program – a four-day offering of community and economic development programming, proudly presented by Jefferson East, Inc. and the Knight Foundation.
